Marcelo is one of the most prominent production designers, art directors and visual development artists in the world of animation, and he has an extensive career in illustration across animation, video games, television, film, theme parks and more.
Currently he is an Art Director of Development with Disney TV Animation, Disney+, Disney Feature Animation, and Walt Disney Imagineering. He has previously worked for Sony Pictures Animation, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Rock Star Games, Dynamix, DIC Entertainment, World of Warcraft and Wizards of the Coast.
Marcelo’s credits in visual effects span decades, including the films Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), Disney’s Mulan (1998), Surf’s Up (2007), Hotel Transylvania (2012), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009), Lilo & Stitch (2002), television series such as A.L.F. (1987-1988), animated series such as Tutenstein (2003-2005), theme park attractions like Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin at Disneyland Resort and Tokyo Disneyland, and more.
